I know it is a long time ago but the 4th ashes test of 1961 was a pretty special win.
Australia trailed by 177 runs after the first innings.
On the last morning Alan Davidson and Graeme McKenzie added 98 for the last wicket to give them a lead of 255.
England needed 256 to win and Ted Dexter got them to 150-1, before Benaud went round the wicket with his leggies to bowl them out. Benaud finished with 6-70, and Australia won with 20 minutes to spare to retain The Ashes.
Easily the Tassie win over Pakistan, my favourite ever cricket game. Was amazing and a couple of legends were born in that game.
Gee I miss that golden age of cricket.
Second the motion.

Good nomination. When Benaud was inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame, Ian Chappell spoke of this very test. Apparantly Benaud called the team together at a drinks break late on day 5 and said words to the effect of "The Draw is no longer an option. We have to play hard if we're going to win this match. I want you to field like you've never fielded before in your life."

Apparently after the Test the England hierarchy were determined to find a scape goat for the loss and decided it was Larwood's fault for creating the rough and dropped him for the next Test.
They didn't even speak to him about it, just made the announcement. It wasn't until after the next match had started Larwood was able to point out he'd bowled from the other end.

The best test result I remember was the tied test at Calcutta in 1986. Dean Jones mammoth double century despite the heat and Alan Border's sledging. Greg Matthews getting an LBW decision IN INDIA with the second last ball of the match. I listened to every ball on the radio.
For wins. When we beat the Windies in a series for the first time in a long, long time.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

To this day both Maninder Singh and Ravi Shastri are adamant that there was a feint edge there.
