A test XII was named today for the first test against India:
Test squad: Chris Rogers, David Warner, Shane Watson, Michael Clarke (capt), Steven Smith, Mitchell Marsh, Brad Haddin (vice-capt, wk), Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris, Peter Siddle, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood.
Watson back and will obviously bat at 3, I always thought it was going to happen but for mine he needed runs first. I would've liked Burns or Ferguson against an average Indian attack. Michael Clarke is still under a serious cloud so one of those guys may be called in anyway while Smith has been pulled out of the Shield game with a quad strain and has to be in some doubt. The only other real battle is for the final bowlers spot, I can't see us playing all of Siddle, Johnson, Harris and Hazlewood with Watson and Marsh already in the side so Hazlewood may miss unless Harris pulls up sore from the final Shield game or they decide it's time to see some young blood over Siddle. Lyon will play without a doubt when you consider how much other quick bowling is in the side already.
