If Marsh is out surely the answer is to bring in a genuine batsman? 2 all-rounders is overkill and Watson has bowled well so far, nice opportunity to blood a young guy for mine.

Agreed. I think Mitch Marsh is in (rightly IMO) as the selectors also see him in the top 6 bats in the country atm.

I would go with Joe Burns at 3 and give Watson a break at 6 with extra bowling duties.

Yes bring in a batter. For a while now the selectors keep picking bit part all rounders

Haddin looks like a walking wicket. Can't see him toughing it out here

And on cue, a soft dismissal straight after the drinks break.

I'm sure that won't stop the never ending Haddin cheer leading from Channel 9. The constant references to him being a tough competitor, give me a spell

Enough is enough with Haddin. He's averaging 9 since the ashes, that's number 10 or 11 stuff. Perhaps he gets the rest of this series due to the absence of Clarke but then he needs to hang up the gloves.

This is good from Johnson, he's the type of guy who gets confidence from runs and it usually translates into his bowling form. The longer he's out there in the contest the more confident and aggressive he'll become.

Wade makes a few errors and everyone went off him. Haddin has made a career of this garbage and he seems to attract media criticism. Rubbish.

Agree. This could be the making of his series. He's a funny mental beast Johnson, once something gets him focused there's no limit to what he can do, but if he just rolls along he can be pretty average. The Indians can't help themselves, the smart approach is to ignore Johnson, but they have to be confrontational regardless of whether it's a bad tactic.
