    Re: 2014/2015 English Championship Thread

With quite a few upsets on the weekend, things are really hotting up in the Championship; in fact i can't remember it being this close with a dozen games to go.
For anyone interested in the latest table, here it is:

    Derby 65
    M'borough 63
    Norwich 62
    Watford 62
    Bournemouth 60
    Ipswich 60

    Brentford 58
    Wolves 57

Would like to see Bournemouth and Brentford get promoted if only because the former has never been in the top flight and the latter about 80 years ago. Brentford by the way, are known as the bees and play at.... Griffin Park!

Apologies for the brevity of the table but after spending a considerable time on how to cut and paste it, i gave up and typed them in.

Has anyone got a preference who they would like to see promoted?

Thanks for that Hose, you've sold me on the romance of brentford and bournmouth. And Watford.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

They have played 36 rounds, It's 24 team comp so if they all play each other twice then that means a 46 game season.

Wolves have stayed thereabouts, only 3 points off the top 6. Massive game against Bournemouth tonight.

Weren't Brentford in League One last year? Staggering if they can make promotion playoffs after one season.

The more London clubs the better for me, selfish needs our course as it lessens the travel and the more London derbys the better.

I have a soft spot for both Derby and Wolverhampton (in fact as a wee lad I think Wolves were the first team I actually went for - think it was around 1979 - only because of the name - but that all changed when I saw QPR in the FA cup) so would like to see them promoted. Also quite like the Tractor Boys.

In saying all that Bournemouth and Brentford are fairy tale stories and would be great to see one, if not both, in the top flight.

I have a serious dislike for the other 3 teams in Norwich; Middlesborough and Watford.

Really impressed with what Alex Neil has done with my Canaries, our squad is good enough for promotion, hopefully we haven't left our run too late. Lewis Grabban will be a massive loss from here though

It's getting incredibly tight at the with the top 4 sides all tied on 66 points, my Canaries in 5th with 65 and Brentford trailing on 62. Those dropped points to Wigan really hurt now, we could be clear on top with a +31 goal difference and a good run ahead, our next game hosting Derby decides the season for mine

Wigan couldn't back up the good result against Norwich and recorded a 1 - 0 loss at home to Leeds. Definitely fighting to avoid relegation for the balance of the season and they are a long way back

Would like to see Middlesborough get up on the back of Bamfords goals. Looks to be a cracking prospect and ready to step up into our squad.

Huge win for Wolves, beating Derby 2-0. Apparently helped by an absolute howler from the Derby keeper. Now level in 6th although have played 1 more game and down on goal difference. Great effort so far in their first season back-up out of League One.

I think Norwich and Ipswich are big rivals so it would be great if they end up in a playoff match.

Would like to see borough make it so that Rhys Williams could play in the premier league. Very unlucky to have missed the last 2 world cups through injury. Plus always good to see Aussies in the top flight.
