Great start to the Open. The Kokk played a ripping final set. Gulbis really stepped it up but the Kokk went with him.

Expecting Hewitt to keep me up past midnight tonight aswell..

If you carried on like that at Kooyong when the Open was there you'd be spoken to sternly by the secretary
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

The fanatics should probably tone it down a bit, but at least they are supporting our players with the correct colours and flags. I prefer that over people who I presume are Australians, holding Greek flags to support Australian players at the Australian open. Every Australian player has heritage from another country, but that is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned when they are competing for Australia. Should people turn up with Union Jacks to support Hewitt?

                    Agreed!

I don't really understand the hate for the fanatics. Sure they have some horrible chants, look like idiots and are loud. But they wear the colours, they are always fair to the opposition and always make sure they are quiet before the point begins. They add to the atmosphere and most importantly the players seem to love having them there.

The players do seem to thrive with the fans onside.

The Fanatics creation has also been facilitated by the players, with Hewitt at the forefront. I like them.

Sad to see Fed gone, happy that the fanatics have seemed to have been silenced.
