    Watson of Shane

I know allot of people will disagree and say he is a hack but i really think Watson is an international cricketer. He's about 130* today after taking 1-28 off 10. I think that with most all-rounders breaking through at about 27 normally he is worth a go.

His body is his biggest weakness and he shouldn't be in the side until he proves he won't break down straight away (how many times has this guy changed his bowling action).

I think he could be a very good player for Australia.

Now I am ready for your criticisms

He's performed what, once in about 15 games?

In the last few games he has been the top scorer. But he can deliver in ODIs

He is a frustrating cricketer and I know why he is a target for cricket lovers but he does have talent. If he ever gets through a season without sustaining and injury and still doesn't perform well then I'll be prepared to write him off. Until that point though I'll keep an eye on how he is performing.

James Hopes has surprised me a fair bit this summer. He is a bit better with both the bat and ball than I originally thought.

Not many guys can open the batting and bowl at 140km/hr. Will play test match cricket again and be very successful

Out for 190 and has 2\9 off 5 overs so far. This is what he can do if given time.

And he just needs to play 4 or 5 game in a row without breaking down. It might nearly be time for him to concentrate just on his batting and become a real part time bowler like Steve Waugh eventually did.

I wonder if he'd be chose as a pure batsman?

His WC type batting would have been useful this series

People love to hammer him because of the way he looks and the fact that he got fast tracked a bit but the reality is he has actually done pretty well when playing at ODI level for Australia. He has had a lean patch this summer coming off an injury but his talent particularly with the bat is severely underrated by many. I see him as a long term number 4 in some ways. Pretty compact but still fairly imposing in a Jaques Kallis sort of way. He has a solid technique and just needs time to become more organised with his shot selection. Expect him to come on very quickly if given an injury free run.
