There's an interview up now, Achilles issue. Has to stay off it for two weeks.

For his skin folds sake, I hope he stays off the Zinger burgers during his rest period.

To be fair to Jake, I did see the interview and he looked much trimmer than he presented in his post injury 2020.

I think I would like to see Jake play some really good footy, but then I can't reconcile that with him being at Essendon.

Jake is probably in that category of almost could be, but he doesn't get through niggles like good players are able to do.

I couldn't agree with this more strongly. That being said, I think Jake is just too much of a boofhead for his output to match his potential.

The talent to boofhead correlation has always been high. Professionalism of modern day sport has detracted so much from the talented boofhead.

I'm happy to see him never play good consistent footy ever again, because of the way he **** on the club through his behaviour and the fact he now plays for the most reprehensible club in the league.

I can't really argue with that. Perhaps I am just a forgiving soul at heart.

It's a good way to live your life but I just can't cop it with Stringer. From playing up his hammy in his last game with us in Ballarat, to the rumours of his behaviour towards Tom Boyd, the cheating, the school girl, and then to play for Essendon. Can't stand him.

Speaking of our problem children, the life of Brian has just played out its latest chapter. The papers are reporting that a three-time premiership AFL player has found himself convicted of assault after poking a security guard in the side of the nose at Crown Casino. Brian Lake, 38, a former Western Bulldogs then Hawthorn star, pleaded guilty to assault in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday and was fined $900.

Magistrate Timothy Bourke said it was a “very low level assault” that occurred at Southbank on September 26, 2019. “There is no evidence the victim suffered a physical injury,” he said.

It does sound like Brian was a little unlucky, the "poke on the nose being just that", without any injury being sustained. Although facing up to a miffed Brian would not have been fun for the security person involved.

He was fined $1200 by the local council for not keeping his nature strip in good order.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I guess he's never had the mow the coach's lawns to get a game.

Shaun Higgins' partner has given birth to twins, which is lovely news.

However I suggest getting a paternity test on the second one is a good idea - apparently it chased the first one out.

                          I'll see myself out.

I love how he only has to get a paternity test on one of them, given the first is clearly a front runner!*

It is technically possible for twins to have two different fathers.
