After watching yesterday's game against the Giants, Brendan Bolton has informed Carlton officials that he intends to exercise the "cooling off" period, contained in his letter of offer from the Blues.

Carlton free agent Matthew Kreuzer will likely stay at Ikon Park but could pursue bigger offers elsewhere if negotiations with the Blues break down, with the Western Bulldogs particularly keen on the rejuvenated ruckman.

But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Carlton finish bottom now. That means Kruezer leaving at our alleged offer would give them pick one and pick two in the draft if they let Kruezer go. Got to tempt them a little more now, especially if Yarran and Hendo got them upgrades into the first round plus Silvagni FS if they want. Hoping that means we are just a little closer to landing a very good ruck/forward.

That's a great point. With picks 1+2 outstanding KP prospects, they'll find it very hard not to let Kruezer go.

This is potentially a costly loss for the lions .

Yep, especially if an offer on a free agent got them first round compo. Picks 1 and 2 is way better than 4 and 5 as it would be now. Also if Carlton can get top FA compo they drop from pick 3 to 4. Weird how them winning punishes them in their rebuild of the rebuild or the rebuild of the post premiership era rebuild.

Charlie Dixon has nominated Port Aadelaide for a trade. If he gets there surely Schultz must be off?

Off to Freo is the strong possibility.

Lions also lose pick 1 in the PSD, which Carlton can now use to get Carlisle.

Carlton could now get Weitering, Shache and Carlisle.

And Silvagni Jnr depending on the price. The cheats could have a massive rebuilding year especially if they get good compo for Yarran and Hendo. Outside of us, they're the team in interested in their list management. It could be a huge success or failure. But I don't think Silvagni would do a Jones trade again.

Post on Facebook saying Patty Karnesis fallen out with Buckley and requesting a trade out. Dogs mentioned with numerous other clubs. Grain of salt.

I actually think Karnetzis has ability, but really only as a tall/mid mobile forward, so we'd be the last place he'd want to come as he's not getting a game ahead of Stringer, Crameri or Dickson.

                              God no to karnezis.
He's caught in between the levels, and doesn't have a defensive bone in his body
