Now to find some made up analysis on the data. We are second on the list, this is the proof we can't win tight matches...

Essendon are streets ahead of us even. This can't be a statistical anomaly. Ergo, proof the VFL & AFL management have been targeting them and trying to reduce their on field success for nearly 150 years. If you're reading this James or Tania, this is your smoking gun. This is my strong legal advice. By strong, I mean made up. And by legal, I mean an anonymous internet comment without any legal basis. But by all means, quote it.

As for an anolomly, a real one, all the Victorian teams including Fitzroy (not counting University) have had over 20 draws each... Except Hawthorn who only have had 10 draws in 91 years in the VFL/AFL. That's 50% less than the next lowest Victorian club.

Anyone care to offer football or mathematically how this could be?

The first one I remember well was against Essendon, the score was us 20.8 128 them 19.14-128 1978 or '79 I think. It was at Whitten oval. I couldn't say how many I have seen since. I have vague recollection of a draw that got us into the finals in 1974 but I didn't go for some reason so I have no recall of the game. And I think we drew with Richmond in that time frame too

Geez mate. You could take an eye out with something like that.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
