I actually thought both Picken and Morris might have been a chance for the squad.

Yes very worthy for sure. They have been really good this year. Our veterans still so important to us. So great to have Bob coming back in 2017. We have really missed this year but he has been there still and I reckon behind the scenes he has been a big part of us keeping it going despite not playing.

        Morris missing is an injustice.

Morris, Cripps and Zac Merrett pretty stiff.

Tom Lynch from Adelaide pretty lucky I would have thought.

Really? Nearly 70 goals in a shite team. I'd say it's justified.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Moz missing from this list is a disgrace. Rory Laird had a great 2015 but no where near as good this season no doubt affected by the foot injury he sustained but hey lets put 6 Crows players in against our 2.

Dale has been the rock down there with so many falling down around him and in a team that has been lauded for its defensive strength and structure.

Jaytee was talking about the Adelaide Tom Lynch - not the GCS Tom Lynch.

Perhaps the AA selectors missed this stat? Fairly important for a defender I would have thought?

                  The stats files: Who's No.1 at one-on-one?

But what about when the one-on-one scenario is flipped? Which players can be trusted not to lose contests when an opposition kick comes their way?

Perhaps surprisingly, Richmond jet Alex Rance doesn't top the list.

The Tigers champ is still very hard to beat and only loses a quarter of one-on-one contests – admittedly against the AFL's absolute elite forwards most of the time.

Instead, it's a lower-profile backman, Dale Morris, who has been beaten the least in 2016.

The 33-year-old has only lost seven of his 47 one-on-one contests (14.9 per cent) this season – a better strike rate than star Cats defender Harry Taylor (15.1) and Eagles marking machine Jeremy McGovern (15.6).

No Dale Morris? It's one of those pisstake things that Titus O'Reilly does isn't it?

                      Hah! Funny stuff.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Lynch kicked 36 goals in a team that won 16 games. I think you're thinking of the other Tom Lynch.

The Tom Lynchs kicked a hundred goals between them.

Nah, he has had a good season. Would be our first choice KPD.
More of an In Bruges guy?

I don't disagree with the first half of this post but surely the second half doesn't help justify his inclusion, especially when we are having real debates over whether we would be better off playing our best ruckman in key defence instead of what we already have there.
I should leave it alone but you're not right
