I love to stick the boots into Barrett as much as I can but he mentioned something about this on trade radio about this today. Not the typical sky is falling bullshit every time something happens with us but I think the word "worrying" was used.Comment

I reckon Hawthorn have really tough times ahead. They have put a mountain of pressure on themselves with this enormous financial commitment (might be wrong - but thought I heard $100m) to move their HQ to Dingley - and at the end of all of that, they will be in Dingley!!
And during the years that they have to fund the move, history would suggest that their membership and attendances will drop off sharply as they won't have the same success that they've enjoy in the last decade.
I don't think it is a coincidence that things aren't rosy off-field.Comment

What gets me with this type of journalist is their lack of being contrite when they are wrong.
There was some report about a Lions player who was wanted to leave, etc etc. Barrette didn't bother to check with the player and announced it on Footy show I think. Player tweets it wasn't true ( can't remember his name.) Barrett, No apology, just tried to argue he was correct.
Wilson does this as well. She 'broke' the story that Hird had been fired. Went to print, but it it wasn't true at the time. No apology or anything.
They occupy a necessary part of the game but when they try to peddle on field analysis and take themselves too seriously ( FFS do we have to be reminded how many walkley's they have one when they are introduced? ) it becomes laughable.

Freo just delisted Clarke and Griffin. I wouldn't be adverse to one of them on the rookie list; they...aren't great footballers but as a "break glass" ruckman you could do worse.- I'm a visionary - Only here to confirm my biases -Comment
