Petrie has been fantastic all season. Was massive tonight and schooled Ryder.

His form turnaround has been flummoxingly stunning. Looked the most finished of anyone that has ever played last year, but truthfully has been excellent. Vardy has been pretty good too.

We could probably take something from that.

He milked it but it was a really shit tackle by Polec - free there every day of the week.

Rules were changed this year to stop that, it should have been play on.

Sadly Dixon, with 3.6 played both hero and villain. He definitely willed them back into the game and kept them in it but his missed were costly in the end.
So GWS will win next week and Sydney will smash Geelong.

Rules were changed this year to stop that, it should have been play on.

I thought the umpire took a moment to think about it and then blew the whistle. Shuey played for it for sure but Polec almost took his head off which forced the umpires hand....or whistle.

Rule is idiotic and unworkable, like most rules in the AFL. How can an umpire not pay it in real time? They see instantaneous arm around the neck and have to pay it. I'm very comfortable with it being paid in that instance, much as I hate the tactic.

Jesus, this is a terrible game. Skills are deplorable. West Coast have completely stopped. Just holding on.

I reckon this game shows the difference between a close game and a good game.

No extra time, but the PF last year at Spotless was a much better game.

I just watched the free kick for the first time.

That's a free every day of the week. At no point does he drop his knees. It was a terrible tackle and the right decision was made.

Some of the kicking for goal was deplorable
