Western Bulldogs forward Aaron Naughton has been offered a $2000 fine by the AFL Match Review Officer for striking West Coast’s Will Schofield.
Naughton was reported for the strike during the fourth quarter of the Bulldogs’ loss to the Eagles in Perth, with the incident assessed as intentional conduct with low impact and body contact.
The incident was classified as a $3000 sanction as a first offence, with Naughton able to accept a $2000 sanction with an early plea.

Crowley got a $1200 fine in 2013 for pinching Boomer Harvey. I'd have thought at least that was due as well.

The thing is the pinching was non stop throughout the game. Fantasia should have punched his arm, hard a few times, but was disciplined and couldn't do much.

To my mind, the precedent is clear. If you pinch to the point of bruising, you get a fine at the very least.

I don't disagree, but seems the AFL has taken this very seriously referring straight to tribunal.
Ignore me, my bad, I've misread your post. He's been cited for the pinching, rather than the straight up fine. I was reading some media on the Crowley pinching case, Boomer Harvey said he was pinched more than 300 times. Stratton's lawyer will no doubt say it's better than the Crowley case which was $1,200. What's going to be interesting is whether the AFEL have moved since 2013 as to the public relations side of things and come down like a tonne of bricks. That's more interesting for mine.
