How does the AFL Prop up their problem children?

Despite the favorable treatment for North they still appear to be a way off the mark.
West Coast might not improve like many people think and Richmond will need a minor miracle to become competitive.
That's 3 teams that could compromise an already lopsided competition and fixture?

Does anyone see much hope for these 3 teams?

I thought Nth showed some signs during he year. Another year into the players and I would think that there is some more improvement. They weren't getting blown away as much.

WCE new coach should see them start the year well and maybe pinch a game or two. Players are still too young or too old. They really lack a solid middle core. Another tough year from them. Will get worse before it gets better.

Richmond have an aging team that was murdered by injury last season. In the of season they got rid of more experience and drafted a bunch of kids in the top end of he draft. I have them as wooden spoon favourites so anything better than that is a win.

Tigers are years away and might be completely uncompetitive this season.

Eagles they'll be fine and always find a way through shit times quickly.

Norf....hmmm ingrained failure for a decade now I think they've started to turn the ship but it's a long slow road out of what they are in. This group needs to come on quickly and start building hope again with a decent showing this year.

Norths problems started when they decided to jettison a number of experienced players and focused on bringing in top end draft picks and thinking they would sign free agents. They have drafted well but they couldn't develop the players quick enough and of course they have struggled to get really good free agents.
Richmond are now trying to develop a number of talented players all at once. For most clubs the Tigers intake in one year is the equivalent or 3 or 4 years for them so I'm not sure how the Tiges can manage that.
I'm projecting that West Coast are in for at least one more year of pain perhaps 2.

It's going to be an uneven competition in 2025 and soon enough Tassie will join.

I can't see Richmond progressing anytime soon. They are embarking on the a build similar to when GCS and GWS joined.
West Coast hasn't got the depth to really improve. They should be better at home but I think they are a bottom 4 side.
North should improve, history just says that could be harder for them.
The AFL has some problems with these clubs.
