Tom Morris was so eager to get approval from Beveridge for them to have a professional relationship going forward and for all to be forgiven. Beveridge wasn't having any of it which was telling, genuinely still feels Morris was trying to undermine the club.
Beveridge looks immeasurably healthier today than he did at the start of 2022.
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Kudos to Beveridge. I only saw a six-minute clip on socials but he was simply awesome.
It certainly will be a sad day when he calls it quits at the end of the year.

I got the same vibe.
To give some credit to Morris (who I have not historically been a fan of) he seemed to be genuinely trying to say "Hey - I want to put all of this behind us and establish a professional relationship going forward" - and he openly said a couple of times "I understand we're not ever going to be friends"...
Last night would have been difficult for both parties and I thought they conducted themselves pretty well. Having never watched the show - I only tuned in to watch Bevo (which in itself was interesting as I was fast forwarding to see where he would 'join' only to see him sitting at the desk between Hird and Morris at the start!) and it was reasonable. Eddie might be a pain but he does know how to host a show and I thought Hird was a pretty good presence...does that make me a bad person? 100% you could see he had empathy for Bevo when he was talking about the pressures young coaches are placed under etc.
There's been a bit of commentary about Bevo looking happier/healthier than he did in 2022...I guess coming off a terrible GF performance when all the 'troubles' within the playing group came home to roost in one 45-minute block of play plus the Josh Dunkley truth-telling mission etc...he probably was feeling the pressure. It does seem that right now - with the selection headaches of Jack Macrae and Caleb Daniel in the rear view mirror, the Bailey Smith 'saga' in the rear view mirror and a team re-built in his image...life's pretty good. The Jamarra stuff is ongoing of course but listening to him last night he seemed clear AND COMFORTABLE with the fact that these issues are related to Marra and HIS life and not what is happening at the club...
HIrd is great - and it's time he is integrated back into footy. He's done his time. Would love him as an assistant with us (dont shoot me!)
He should in no way ever be involved in coaching again. He's not cancelled. He has a career and very good income. Lets not go overboard trying to rehabilitate someone who was reckless with the health and safety of the young men he had great influence over.

If Tom Morris had any self awareness he also would have apologised for his role in the saga but from what I saw he didn’t.

I loved the bit at the end when Eddie was sincerely thanking Bevo for coming on Ch 9 for the first time in years, and saying that he got rid of the list cloggers that used to be on the show.

Didn't he say he had 'unreservedly apologised'...then Eddie tried to go into the details of it (started saying something about Gardner being dropped) and Bevo interupted saying there's no point digging up old bones blah blah.
I don't know - I thought he (Morris) tried to be contrite and respectful throughout...

I may have misheard. I thought Beveridge was the only one who said he apologised.

Morris couldn't have played it much better, seemed to read the room as well as we could have hoped for.
Bevo was brilliant. Handled it really well.
Eddie is a clearly better host than McClure would be on the Monday version of FC.
