    Salary Cap

David King indicated that there is a concern a club went over the salary cap last year and that it was around 180K
He wanted to check things a bit further before the news breaks so he didn't elaborate which club it was.

It doesn't sound like a huge overspend but what would be a likely penalty if a club was found to be over by that amount?

I said exactly the same thing to Smads today
King was saying if true it could cost the likes of a president or CEO their job which seems a bit excessive on face value.

Where did king say this? I've had a Google and can't find anything, unless he was talking about Keilor in the EDFL...

He said it on SEN (8.30ish) but was cryptic about things because he wanted to get the story straight. He quoted a figure though.
If not Geelong I could live with it being Essendon.

NRL didn't muck around and Storm lost two Premierships. Should be the same in the AFL

Surely there is a difference between the Storm's rorting the system though? I mean they ran two sets of books.
While it's potentially serious, on face value in this instance it doesn't sound the system has been rorted.
