He was always going to flourish as the number one banana. 19 AFL games and 3 VFL games last year - he was generally in the team, just not as a CBA mid because Bont, Treloar and Libba (then Ed as well) were pretty rightfully ahead of him.

I think the refresh has also reignited him to some degree.

Good on him, hope he wins their b&f.

Reckon he will go close to winning their b&f.

A very rare win-win scenario in that we did the right thing to move him on because he couldn't play his best position with us, but he can still impact at a high level for the right team, which St Kilda is.

I don’t like to death ride player injuries, but Bailey Smith out with a calf problem in only game 2 at Geelong… long may his patchy availability last.

I don’t know much about football, but I do know that this Lions v Eagles game is a very bad game of football. Skill level mostly terrible.

Insufficent intent is now the most ridiculous rule the AFL has come up with. It is killing the game. Several calls on Friday night were game killers, (aginst Lobb, Dale and non call agiabst Dacos ) and just saw one against Eagles where the Eagles backman going the spoil - ball bounces the wrong way and it goes out of bounds. The AFL have forgotten the ball is not round.

Caleb Daniel is getting plenty of the footy but appears to have lost all hurt factor.

Cam Zurhaar just received the softest front on contact free ever. Naughton and Darcy were stooged big time on Friday night.

Couldn’t be me. I was hoping for an ACL in the first minute of round 1.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.
