They weren't shit for long enough.
The Cats have lost 2 in a row what's to hate?

He's going to be patchy given it's his second game back after a serious knee injury, and if he gets back to 2021 finals or first half of 2022 form then anyone would want him. He's on the way to that, and whilst I think he's a dick he's still a gun.

As for Dunks, we still have Treloar, Libba and Bont who we'd play ahead of him. I get he won our B&F in 2023, but that was seriously the most bland midfield year I can remember us putting in under Beveridge and I think with our current mix plus Smith in there we'd be an entirely different prospect, given Macrae (who we were playing ahead of Dunkley anyway) has also moved on and Richards has transitioned in.
His 2021 finals series was 3 games, out of how many games now? 100? At this stage they’re looking much more the outlier than where he should be expected to get ‘back to’

He’s obviously a good player and has huge upside if he gets there, but as I said he’d be our 5th best midfielder right now - yeah handy as we’ve got a few injuries but is what it is. May not be that big a loss when Hynes starts coming through I suspect

10 clangers last night, he’s just never going to the be main man in the midfield he thinks he should be. Will always be a support cast 3rd mid at best

Dunkley is far and away better as a player and a bigger loss as a club

We are rusted on, we will complain about that stuff but we will still go to the game etc.

More and more of recent times I’m reflecting back on this Simpson scene.

More of an In Bruges guy?

Geelong supporters turning on Smith super quick, enjoyable read on their Bigfooty - can’t kick, can’t defend stoppages and no other players seem to like him or get around him except Holmes his best mate.

Glorious stuff, put it straight into my veins

Hopefully Hynes can surpass him and we can laugh about it for years to come

Most ex players I don't really like after they left us, and hope their career crashes, some I don't mind if they left like Caleb, Macrae. Can't stand Dunkley, and Smith is also one.

Me too. I didn’t even like Dunkley when he was one of ours, even though he played well for us. He just seemed self centred to me, especially when he wanted to play for Bummers. Would much rather Jongy had a premiership medal instead.

Still had a soft spot for Roughy and to a lesser extent Hunter when they left and Lipinski too. And L.Jones too, so good his back in RWB (Thankyou Blues).
                  Josie :)

                  Our day will come
                  And we'll have everything.
                  We'll share the joy
