The game plan is a mess.
Their mids are too conditional. Not a lot of defensive running when they don't have the ball or win the clearance. So yep, very Dogs 2022-23.

So Collingwood are the real deal? I had my doubts at the start of the season.

Flair & flashiness. Exemplified by ex Richmond player whose name alludes me. Lack toughness & grit. Bradshaw maybe has it. Not sure about others. They could have done with Schulz last night. Loved his determination.

They are brilliantly coached and well-drilled. if they get some decent longer-term injuries, that will test their depth (they can cover one-offs like last night), but as of right now I can see these pricks getting to Prelim week unfortunately.

Everyone seems to have a big marquee match. Except us.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Are you saying Port Adelaide in a half built Ballarat stadium isn't a marquee match? Because literally tens of people are dying to get there. Tickets are impossible to get.

Only 3? No, not intentional. I thought zingers those KFC chicken pieces with chilli impregnated in the batter.

                    Agree.

I’d love to play them in final. If we can keep injuries low for rest of year & Darcy returns ok I reckon we can beat them (and if umps give us a fair go).

Watching the second half of that St. Kilda v Carlton game made me realise how brilliant our handball game is at the moment. Our ability to work the ball out of contests and get it outside is elite. As well as the predictability of there always being another option where you expect them to be. This game was so stagnant, anytime the ball got outside and players hit targets felt like a relief. Both teams records are a pretty accurate reflection of where they’re at. Not bad, not great.

                            Yep we have nothing sadly.

Not sure what we can do to get one either.

It's fitting a game labelled spuds game is between those two teams as well.

What's happened to Sydney. The best H&A team last year by far and now struggling big time. Is it adjusting to Cox as head coach, was Longmire just that good? Are they missing key players I'm not aware of?

Dean Cox, the new Sydney Swans coach, described the Grand Final (GF) review as a brutally honest and necessary process for the team after their heavy defeat to Brisbane. He revealed that the Swans dedicated their entire first full day of pre-season to the review, postponing the start of training so players and coaches could thoroughly examine what went wrong in the 2024 Grand Final loss.

Cox said, “We just had to watch it (the game)... For us it was about making sure we reviewed it. We sat down and spoke about what happened, we identified it as a playing group and a coaching group what went wrong, what we wanted to focus on going forward and then everything started rolling from there. It was a tough day for the players to have to reflect on that game and watch the performance that they did put in. From there it was about learning from every experience you have. We had a really harsh one on Grand Final day and we have to learn from it”358.

He also made the remarkable admission that the review took seven and a half hours, with the first 60 seconds of the match alone taking over an hour to analyze.

In summary, Dean Cox described the GF review as an exhaustive, honest, and collaborative process, essential for moving forward and ensuring the Swans learn from their painful defeat.

                                HE BRUTALISED AND DEMORALISED THEM.
