I can understand why this wasn't put up until today.

The game last night was not a highlight and will be buried for everyone except Angus Clarke and his family.

3 goals on debut before half time was a pretty good stat.

This seems like an appropriate place to ask this question but it's not pertinent to the round. It's probably more of a Soap box thing
Can anyone elaborate on the AFL, the last touch rule? Also known as the last possession out of bounds rule.
I heard Jordan Lewis talking about this as a likely change for next season.
      Surely not?

Last touch rule between the arcs would be much better than the chooklotto we currently have. It would mean that the maggots have one less marginal decision to make and would stop the punters squeeling for deliberate even though it was actually a skill error that took the out of bounds on many occasions. Interpretation of last touch is kick or handball not literally last touch off hands.

I have said this for some time that is what the AFL intention has been all along with the stupid insufficient intent. They have been trying to get us use to it and it is already part of AFLW.

There is nothing wrong with boundary throw-ins; they are a unique part of our game, but once more, the AFL is ruining the game.

Watching the last quarter of Carlton v GWS. Weitering really stuffed up twice to allow two easy goals in a tight contest.

            Looking like a GWS win

As Mitcha mentioned the name being used is actually incorrect
It's not necessarily a last touch, it's last possession. So only a handball or kick or running it over would result in a free kick.
If it's off hands or someone in the act of spoiling a mark it's still a throw in. I haven't seen enough of it but Defenders can still punch or knock the footy out of bounds.
There is a potential to remove any doubt around insufficient intent and it sort of means the umpires don't have make some of those controversial decisions anymore.

On face value at the moment I'm against the change but perhaps someone can explain it better.

Certainly not his best game watching it as well. Giants did very well to respond when the Blues were coming.

Nothing has changed in the last few years.

Brisbane forward of the ball are elite. Their midfield brigade and mid sized forwards are the best in it.

The only question is can they mentally sustain it for the entire season?

North hanging in there against the Pies. Pies certainly had their chances that quarter to pull away.

                      Big last quarter coming up.

Pies looking very strong despite all their outs. Huge last quarter from them to get a comfortable win.
