West Coast in their current iteration should be banned from the last game on Sunday. It’s just too depressing a spectre to see as the last thing before work on Monday.

Is it their fault or your fault?
No one shouldn't be watching a game starting at 6pm on a Sunday unless it's their team in action.

It's far from an even competition and there are always 2 or 3 teams just not worth watching.
I can't believe the Eagles are in the mess that they are. Rich clubs like this should only bottom out for a year or two.

AFEL fixture currently has Gold Coast having played 2 games less than many other teams. I get there was a washout in Round Zero but it is the AFEL's job to properly and quickly rearrange the fixture, and not shove the GC v Ess match in the pre-finals bye in some contrived and poorly disguised attempt to introduce a wildcard finals round by stealth.
Also, it is brain-dead to have a number of teams already playing each other twice (such as St Kilda v Dogs and West Cost v Carlton) when not everybody has played each other yet. I don't expect oodles of talent at City Hall, but they always manage to lower the bar.
North being allowed to sell a home game to Freo on their home ground. If that game was at Marvel they probably would have won.
North might not care about 1 less win for the season but handing Freo a win could cost another team a finals berth.
Teams can sell games if they wish and play in Darwin or Ballarat or Coober Pedy if they want, at least they are fairly neutral. They shouldn't be able to sell a game to the oppositions home state.
