Well Carlton are dysfunctional and impossible to watch, even for schadenfreude.
We get Carlton news regardless, their demise more newsworthy than our success, because of member numbers.
When our membership levels reach there's, we'll have to deal with media love.

I feel sorry for Voss, a great player and good man, discovering the end of his career and coping with his incompetence as a coach.
The disaster he had to have, the karma that he and Carlton were due.
I also felt sorry for Essendon supporters about a decade ago when I was employed by the club via a call centre to sell members raffle tickets. Members bled money for the struggling club.
When I confided I was a bulldog employed by Essendon members felt robbed but I assured them that not all club employees follow the team yet are professional with the club paying their mortgage.
Footy can cause suffering, so I empathise, the club is one thing, supporters another. These members were suffering despite their past glories and voting with their hard earned.
People create systems and administration that makes them fools, too human and imperfect to their Frankenstein.

Thanks for the reminder. Elliott was an absolute flog and was lucky not to end up in the big house. I will never forget the disrespect he showed to Chris Grant that night: "Only Carlton people get to call me Jack." What a tosser. And the Libs were talking about him as a future leader and PM!
