How differently Collingwood (and Daicos) gets umpired. I could only stomach a quarter of that slag pile of a game but it was enough to show me that unless the Pies drop their bundle completely, they’re going to be hard to stop just given how trigger happy the umpires with well timed free kicks or missed calls that release the pressure exactly when they need it.

I’ve always thought umpire bashing was for the unwashed but there’s something going on in those games.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

What the hell are the four umpires doing on the ground?

Players holding on to other players are getting away with it. Tagging is out of control when the tagger consistently hangs onto the player throughout the entire game. Tom Lynch was frustrated by being held on to for most of the game and lashed out - yes, not a good thing to do, but he was frustrated.

How does Bramble get punched in the goal square and not one umpire sees it?

We’re the best team to watch in the AFL by a mile and yet every footy show in the country is leading off with Carlton who are and have been a basket case for 25 years. Why is the media allergic to talking about why and how footy is good?

Can guarantee if it was Daicos who got punched in the guts they would have seen it.

At each ruck contest I suspect there is one umpire watching the rucks (so they can flip a coin and decide whether one of the two men grappling with each other has grappled too much), and one watching the designated 'star'. Bont still misses plenty of these free kicks, but also gets a lot more than Libba or Kennedy would.

Re: Tom Lynch, I've only seen highlights but looked like good defensive play to me. Not the crows fault that he's a hothead sniping wanker. He's been doing the same s*** his whole career. It was Barry Hall without the boxing skill.

If Sam Darcy changes his name to Curnow we will win the flag. The frees Curnow gets compared to Sam is amazing. Sam will get his day soon where they see what is happening to him.

He definitely is a snipper. He is reckless the way he jumps into packs - remember when he K'od Alex Keath and didn't get reported. he does that alot

                I don't think it's reckless, I think it's deliberate.

Can't like this post enough. All I will say is that umpire bashing is still for the unwashed, but bashing the rule-makers who are making this game almost impossible to properly umpire deserve every piece of criticism they get.

                    You know why.

Although, we have been getting a lot of good time slots and we are definitely relevant.

We just need to have a good finals series. We haven't won games in back to back finals series since 2008-2009.
