    Best mark ever?

This grab by Colin Dell over Des Tuddenham was taken in Round 1, 1977 at Victoria Park. Read the caption. He actually took the mark with arms outstretched and was captured bring the ball down to his chest. Compares favourably with any mark ever taken but is unknown to most except history buffs like me.

I thought that was the point. I'm imaging John Gerovich sitting on Ray French.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

The statue doesn't do it justice

Lots of big jumps result in chest marks. In this one the mark was taken with outstretched arms. The photographer was 1/10 of a second too late to catch that image.
