I know you're not supposed to anymore, but I would be ripping ****en shreds off Cowan for giving that stupid free kick away to Dudley if I was coaching Carlton.

Nothing to be gained by doing what he did and he's lucky Dudley wasn't hurt, outside of gifting him a goal.
    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

If Freo beat Brisbane at home in 2 weeks time, their finals place will already be secured before the final round.

Carlton were very ordinary in the 2nd half. McKay missed a set shot that would have put them 25 points up. In the last, he called for a handpass from a team mate who just taken a mark and instead of kicking a goal, kicked it out on the full.
Cripps did zilch in the second half .Maybe he was injured. I'm very disappointed that they let a gettable game slip away in such a fashion.
We just have to keep on winning- it is that simple.

Not quite that simple... We have to keep winning, AND rely on one of the teams above us dropping a game. If Giants, Freo and Hawks also win out then we will remain a game out.

I am so desperate to see us play finals this year that I'm now looking for psychological factors that could play a role in determining the final make of the 8.

The first that springs to mind is the "Hinckley Effect". Ken has been admired and maligned in equal measure during his tenure at Port. He's always struck me as a straight shooter and someone who's got his players backs.

Port players have two opportunities to send him out a winner - home games in Round 22 against Freo and in the very last game of the year against the Suns. Wins by Port would certainly aid our campaign to make finals and also determine where we finish in the 8.

One vital game outside of ours is GC v GWS - this game will determine many positions on the ladder.
