Selfish of me but I like Buckley’s special comments. So good news on that front.

Well done & best wishes to King.

Might be an opening at Essendon soon the way things are going.

Would this be the tallest coach/captain pairing?

Nathan Buckley was asked specifically if he was given the Melbourne job would he accept it. Buckley said he was still unsure. He wanted more info from the Devils first. Ultimately, Dees picked Steven King, and Buckley remains front runner for Tassie.

Well Lade and Gia missed out. I doubt they will get a gig after trying so many times.

Great for King. We lost a lot when he left us.

King has been an assistant for 15 years and I'm assuming he's been up for a few senior roles over that time.

Why would Lade and Gia be any different?

The Brian Royal rule - when you are bridesmaid for every senior coaching gig you apply for, eventually (and unfairly) there is a whiff about you and you don't get another chance.

I get that but my point is wasn't King in the same boat?

I don't think he applied for many senior roles. He has been patient.

I agree, he hasn't thrown his hat in the ring as many times as others and being at Geelong under Scott would have helped him.
