Yeah Dunkley is not on Smith's level but I still don't like how he forced his way out.

    Lippa we pushed out basically.

If we are totally being honest with ourselves, Dunkley has been fully vindicated with both his decision and his reasoning to leave the club - he has become by far the best two-way midfielder in the competition since going to Brisbane, and it has been clear for a few years now that we simply haven't prioritised the defensive aspects of midfield work as much as other clubs do. Furthermore, he gave 100% total buy-in for the last 2 years at the club (2021 was injury-affected unfortunately).

I wish him no ill-will anymore - I hope he destroys Floppy Daicos and renders him impotent this weekend.

Yep, tried to leave twice. Good player with suspect disposal. IMO a money hungry & boring chap. Could have stayed and shown leadership. I’ll forever in my mind place Jongy’s face on Dunkley’s body in that glorious 1/10/16 arvo.
              Josie :)

Yeah we're only a Geelong flag away from all 3 players leaving the club and getting a flag fairly quickly whilst being played in their best position.

I don't blame Dunkley at all but I still don't have to like him for it!

Totally agree Josie - he wanted more money and was jealous of the Bont. 18 tackles because he never had the ball.

Brisbane or Collingwood would be my preference for the the GF win.

Yep... we're a flimsy team that struggles to make the 8, whereas Brisbane is into their 3rd PF in a row. We strive to be like them, and Dunkley is one of the main reasons to why they're successful... the admiration that the Bris players/coaches talk about him in terms of how selfless he is something our team craves.

I don't understand the almost childish rhetoric being critical of Dunkley. It's more or less an emotional response and not fact based.
Dunkley has been a massive positive for Brisbane and I don't think anyone can deny it. His work ethic in games where he is one of the best two-way running midfielders in the competition and his leadership on and off the field is first rate.
In Neale's absence he stepped up and was brilliant against Gold Coast.

I beg your pardon. I don't think he has been criticised for his ability, but rather his quest for more money and his bullshit justification. I find your post a bit below the belt

Super star. It's just annoying he chose the Lions and we got nothing. If anything we should be mad at dodo !

Yeah, I wouldn't say he is a superstar, but he is a good player. I don't think any of the rankings have him in the top 20 players
