            I can see the umpires do the votes, they have no idea on how to umpire a game and it makes sense they would have no idea who the best players are .

                Yes. Agree. But the point is clear. Clean ball winners didn't win Brownlows (e.g. Bartlett) while players who did not mind dishing out on a consistent basis won Brownlows (e.g. Diesel, Plugger)
