I couldn't care less about SOO.

It's long gone. Leave it be.

I hope we 'rest' our stars from the 'niggles' they'll have around about the time to play...

I hope our guys just treat it as a practice match and stay bruise free.

The AFEL will AFEL and there's nothing that can be done about it. They'll put more into compliance to selection than they will just about anything else way more important when this game rolls around.
        TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

This won't be a popular opinion but for a club not attracting large crowds surely the chance for our players to be on the big stage is worth the risk of injury?
As a kid I loved SOO. When clubs started to rest their stars Sheedy kept bringing in more and more Essendon boys and they got used to being in front of the big stage.

SOO was amazing when it mattered - those epic games in the 80's and early 90's were memorable, but it stopped mattering a very long time ago.
And even if it somehow did matter again, how can you barrack for a team coached by Chris farken Scott?

They should just make it a touch game like the nba all star game has become. Bit of fun for some players to run around at 50% speed and have a bit of fun without much defending or contest work.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?
