Players and coaches at other clubs you really, really like

Companion thread of the hate thread.

Living in Sydney, funny enough I see a lot of Swans games.

Heeney is a terrific player and a poster boy for the value of the Swans Academy, if you know his back story. Courageous, skilful and plays the game in the right spirirt.

Buddy live on the small SCG pitch is lots of fun when he is on song.
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

Of the coaches from other clubs, I don't mind Adam Simpson. He looks like a very like able character.

I too like Buddy, he really is a champion player and at his peak he is a match winner.

        Coaches:

        - Buckley is somebody I have a lot of respect for. He's been able to 'soften' for the better of their club but I like that he tells it straight. I find his views interesting and well articulated, even if I don't always agree.

        - Hardwick just seems like a genuine, likeable guy and the the whole "Mrs Hardwick" series was funny.

        Players:

        - Charlie Cameron is fun to watch. Love his pace and enthusiasm.

        - Dusty Martin has been thrown down our throats by receiving awards when he probably shouldn't have (i.e. Norm Smith), but he's great to watch. Love that he's the mid who can rest forward and win a game by himself (the final v Brisbane was incredible). He's also a bit of a different character which I find refreshing.

Can't disagree with any of those TBB.

I'm a fan of Luke Shuey, just think he's a gun and seems to go about things the right way.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

            The kid can play.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Can't stand Shuey. Thanks for reminding me, he should be in the other thread

I hate any player that pushes someone in the chest when they are lying on their back, and he does it alot.

With you on these two. Never liked Buckley as a player but have grown to really like him.

                  The players I rate are:

Shaun Burgoyne - has been a fantastic player over a long period as well as being a great role model for the indigenous community.

Josh P Kennedy - like the way he plays the game. Hard at it and leads from the front.

Agree with TBB. I also like Kennedy from WCE and Kennedy from Swans and Sidebottom and Pendlebury from Pies. Liked Bartel from Geelong when he played too.

Yep. Most of the girls seemed to like James a lot...

Seems like a genuinely nice bloke eg growing Kelly beard for charity. And yes a lot of women including me thought he was rather pleasant eye candy too.

I liked his no fuss footy smarts - cannot remember any dirty acts either, and by Jove he was an accurate kick for goal. Those who have played the game can probably analyse his technique better than me but he was Tory Dickson like reliable if I recall correctly.

Jono Brown. When he broke his jaw at training, then walked off the ground like he was a bit winded... tough as it gets. Would’ve loved to see him in our colours. He once said he wanted to name first child ‘Corker’. He’s from Warrnambool, not far from my dads hometown, Cobden. Gary Rohan and Ben Cunnington are from there, so they’re alright too.

                            Don’t mind Hardwick.
