    Vale Shane Tuck

    Vale Shane Tuck

The Richmond Football Club is mourning the passing of former player and Life Member, Shane Tuck.

A hard-nosed midfielder, Tuck played 173 games for the Tigers from 2004 – 2013, where he kicked 74 goals.

A true Tiger, Tuck was courageous and brave on the field, and loved by his teammates, staff and fans off the field.

Richmond CEO, Brendon Gale paid tribute to Tuck and his family.

“We’re incredibly saddened by the news of Shane’s passing, he will be missed enormously by everyone,” Gale said.

“We send our deepest condolences to Shane’s family and loved ones – his wife Kat, children Will and Ava, parents Michael and Fay, and the extended Tuck family.

“Shane was a warrior on the field, giving everything to the team each week, and a humble, fun-loving person off the field.”

Richmond will pay tribute to Tuck by wearing black armbands at this weekend’s match against GWS Giants.

His old man was still playing at the same age. What a tragedy for his family. So incredibly sad.

Absolutely awful. Devastating for all of his family, friends and former team mates.

38, a wife and 2 kids. As a 37 year old with a wife and 2 kids and friends in the same stage in their lives - its unfathomable, but in some ways a wake up call/reminder that we sometimes have no idea what people are going through.
