If Ben Brown's knee isn't cactus, that is a pretty bad deal for North. Values him at effectively a middling second rounder.

On talent that’s a good deal for the Roos. But they now have to deal with a player who thinks he’s everything and has poor work ethic. Good luck with that when trying to rebuild a team from scratch.

He's over-rated and will be a liability in an under-performing team. He's cream and Norf can't even bake a pie atm.

I don't hate this deal for North. They can't attract a big fish and Stephenson for all of his flaws undeniably could still end up an incredible player. Plus their risk exposure of the long term big money deal would be mitigated by what you'd have to assume is a heavily front-ended deal.

Not like they were gonna be good anyway.
