Rate an AFL career: Harry Taylor

Harry Taylor just announced his retirement.

A stalwart in defence for the Cats for 13 years, Geelong's Harry Taylor confirms last week's grand final defeat was his 280th and last AFL game.

How do you rate his AFL career?
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

      Extremely good reliable solid player.
Got the best out of himself and always followed the coaches plan/ instructions would have been a pleasure to coach him I would have thought.
What we would have paid to have a guy like him over the years.

We should have drafted him instead of Jarrad Grant, he's had a terrific career

Surely he gets Hall of Fame purely for keeping a piece of ham in his sock all game to give to Josh Jenkins in a handshake.

Up there with Brian Lake as the best defender this century
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

And he proved to be an exceptional forward against us on more than one occasion.

Thankfully he was up the other end most of the time. I had plenty of notes on Brad Johnson. He was a guy I found difficult to play on
