    Remaining games

Round 15: Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium

Round 16: Brisbane Lions at the Gabba

Round 17: Sydney Swans at the SCG

Round 18: St Kilda at Marvel Stadium

Round 19: Melbourne at Marvel Stadium

Round 20: Geelong Cats at GMHBA Stadium

Round 21: Fremantle at Marvel Stadium

Round 22: GWS Giants at Marvel Stadium

Round 23: Hawthorn at UTAS Stadium

We simply must beat Hawthorn twice and also GWS at home. That takes us to 10 wins. Then to be sure we most probably need 13 wins.

So we need three wins from the following games.

    Lions @ Gabba
    Swans @ SCG
    Saints @ Marvel
    Demons @ Marvel
    Cats @ Kardinia
    Freo @ Marvel

Ranking those hardest to easiest to win.

Cats - we just win at Kardina)
Lions - they have won 23 out of their last 24 H&A, if only it was a final ...
Demons - we still have scars from the GF, they currenly own us, hopefully get without Gawn
Swans - always tough at the SCG, however we have a good record against them
Freo - we normally get the points at Marvel, but they are a different team this year tough
Saints - will be a tough game, but our recent history isn't too bad

Those are six tough games. We need three wins. That also assumes we account for the Hawks twice and also GWS at Marvel.

It is going to be tough, very tough.

If we somehow make the 8, it should mean we’re in decent shape.

How Timmy gets over this concussion will be a big factor. Even if he’s good to go next week, I think we’re just a little too off the pace to make it but it wouldn’t be the first time Bevo has scraped us in despite it looking unlikely at the bye. I reckon this is more 2017 than 2019/20 though.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.
