English is a restricted free agent. From what I can see in the FA rules a player has to be at a club for ten years before he's an unrestricted free agent

2 – Matt Flynn to West Coast (unrestricted free agent). GWS receives pick 40 as compensation.

3 – Joel Hamling to Sydney (unrestricted free agent). No compensation to Fremantle.

4 – Tom Doedee to Brisbane (restricted free agent). Adelaide do not match, receive pick 19 as compensation.

Nick Coffield has secured his move from St Kilda to the Western Bulldogs. Dogs give up pick No. 40 + future fourth-round pick but also land pick No. 52 + No. 56 in the four-club trade @AFLcomau

So we can cover a Croft bid at pick 12 or greater as our selections currently stand at close of trading today; with Essendon, Adelaide and Melbourne currently holding the prior picks 9, 10, and 11 respectively.

We should land some more points for Jordon Sweet as well so we are probably well placed to get Croft and Lual if Lual attracts a bid after pick 40.
