Common knowledge but name an ethical alternative? To me reads like a juvenile way to dismiss people.

The way we have entire communities set up with nothing to do but sink money into a black hole to see some dancing lights is terrible and I'm glad the not for profit football club I support doesn't take part in it anymore.

There are some. Fair phone some guys at work talk about.

The Dogs get money from the AFL, who get money from their official betting partners.

The more I think about this Gill appointment the worse I feel about.

Gill has been lecturing us all on every single social issue as the head of the AFL. Taking the moral high ground and virtue signalling at every opportunity.

He now decides to take the head role of one of Australia?s largest gambling dens that prays on vulnerable youth. He is morally bankrupt. Do as I say, not as I do.

He would have so many other options. This just stinks of greed and selfishness.

He has shown his true colours. He makes me sick. He should be cancelled by all his social issue fighting friends.

Yes I agree. I can't imagine if you had the world at your feet with job options that this is the one you would take.

?Tabcorp is the backbone of racing, it plays a role in sport. It?s entertainment. I know a lot of that space, and it talks to Australians who are deciding how to spend their Saturday afternoons. I understand that as well,? Mr McLachlan said.

That certainly sounds pretty cool and I'd never heard of them. I'd love a phone that doesn't suffer from planned obsolescence or that I can upgrade like my PC.

Was there not something immediately strange about a guy doing a farewell tour as the CEO of an organisation for god knows how long after he announced his departure? Was he being a custodian, or were the offers he was expecting not coming at him?

Well, welll, well. I'm not really suprised but still so dissapointed. This is such a poor look on so many levels. I hate sports gambling in particular and its conditioning of our children via platforms like the AFL. Gill cares so much about every single social issue that the AFL has supported, but he now takes on the chief role at one of Australia's largest gambling dens. He is morally bankrupt and reveals his true colours.

He is just following the career pathway carved out by Demetriou. I hope it ends just as badly, though I am pretty sure Demetriou, who is morally bankrupt, doesn't care.
