Draper missed a goal from a similar position to McNeil when the score line was similar to when McNeil missed. Both hit the post, both teams were approximately two goals up and there was a similar amount of time on the clock.

Can you imagine the heat McNeil would have got if we had actually lost to Carlton?

I took great pleasure in reading the match day thread on Bomberblitz this morning. Highly entertaining. There are some super funny sarcasm-long-suiters on there. Throw in the demented ferals, the borderline unhinged and the bitter vengence-driven hardliners and you have sufficient material to keep a psychologists conference busy for twelve months.

Meltdown does not even come close the describing the level of rage being expressed. No one is spared - if they had a boot studder he would have copped a spray too.

It really is something else. There are quite a few funny posters, but on the average unhinged (and throw in tortured) would describe the average punter.

They really implode and go for the jugular.

He would have never played again.
They were slightly different circumstances though, Dons were less than 2 goals up and it was with 19 minutes left in the quarter so if he kicked it there was still heaps to play out. We were more than 2 goals up when McNeil missed with 4:30 remaining. Either way, no player in the competition should be missing from there.

From the Saturday morning wrap up on Blitz:

He's a massive reason why they survived the games that Draper was out. They wouldn't be 10 wins 7 losses without Goldstein.

Question: can opposition supporters/non-members access our game day thread?

Yes as guests. Limited viewing though. I think it's something like 100 posts before it blocks them for the day.

Ha that would be some nice reading.

I was reading their post mortem thread. There wasn't anything bordering on logic. Was all despair.

Kruger Industries from the pies missed an easier and closer one than Draper and McNeil.

Hawks never give you an easy possession.
                                They're a good side.
