For me despite us having a great result yesterday given the weather yesterday who couldn't the roof be open?

Because both the patrons in the ground and on TV can't see properly when the roof is open.

How commentators jump to the worst possible conclusion every time a player shows a bit of pain, BT is an expert at it.
If you scratch your nuts it’s a 6 week groin injury, they are the best doctors in the world they can confirm an injury and give you the weeks missed before the player has come off the ground.

How commentators jump to the worst possible conclusion every time a player shows a bit of pain, BT is an expert at it.
If you scratch your nuts it’s a 6 week groin injury, they are the best doctors in the world they can confirm an injury and give you the weeks missed before the player has come off the ground.

The only thing BT is an expert at is getting players names wrong - he has no peer on that score.

The four umpires has not worked - too many inconsistencies. Needs to be reviewed at year end.

I'm firmly in the "I hate the open roof at Docklands with a passion" camp.

The metal roof just doesn't work - makes the stadium feel like a tomb.

The AFL need to replace it with a translucent roof similar to the ones at SoFi Stadium in LA and US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Lets in the light but refracts it so you don't get the sharp contrast between dark shade and sunlight that you do when the current roof is open.

The phrase "kicks the goal like he's shelling peas " gets rolled out every bloody week and it's driving me nuts.

It's not used in any other media, shelling peas is something literally no AFL player has ever done, why do they keep using this phrase?

I'm assuming it's an in joke or competition (it's mostly from Dwayne and NDS), but can we please just stop.
