    Sam Landsberger dead

    What awful news. Died in an accident this morning in Richmond.

    His dad was former dogs doctor Jake.

    I've spoken to Sam on many occasions on socials he was such a lovely bloke.

    Bloody tragic news.

                      I sent him a load of photos when his Dad was honoured by the club.

                      He was so gracious and very happy to chat.

                      We've spoken from time to time since then.

                      Really awful news, hard to comprehend.

                              What a shock, has been a regular on Mid Week Tackle on FOXTEL. I don’t watch it much but saw him just the other day.

                                      I always had a soft spot for Sam because of the Bulldogs connections, but he also seemed to be one of the dying breed of footy journos - had morals, wanted to talk about the game more than the scandal, and used his online platforms to do the bare minimum that his job required rather than trying to create controversy. He will be a big loss to that industry.

                                      Thoughts are with his family.

                                      Also very confronting as a 34 yo who lived in richmond for a while and would have crossed that intersection 500 times. Life is fragile.

                                              Absolutely DEVASTATING news. Incredibly sad.

                                              Loved Sam's stuff and have followed him since the begning with his genourous coverage of the Bulldogs too. Relied on him during the last two Olympics for his much loved Aussie Sport timetables too.

                                              Life is precious. Life is short.
