As a ruck, the cake is the ruck work - being a competitive, physical presence. It's the mids job to transition the ball, not rucks.
Dean Cox was one of few who could do both, as is Max Gawn. Unfortunately for us, English's game is back to front.W00F!Comment

The argument about being a ruck who can contribute around the ground is, and always will be, a luxury. It's the cream, not the cake.
