Surely the club has to resign both of them prior to the commencement of next season. That there have been no recent rumours that either of them are contemplating anything but signing, I'm assuming it is just a formality.

Anyone got any inside word on Bont or Richards?

Looking back it's amazing how ridiculous the scrutiny on us was at this point. When the article was released we were 3-3, JUH post that commits for two and English for five. We make the finals having played some of the best, yet inconsistent, home and away football for the year in a clear adjustment phase, and then get lambasted because we didn't deliver anything other than what we'd shown through the year in the elimination final.

Brisbane when in form beat us by seven goals at home. We slept against them like we did against Port and Adelaide in South Australia. One side won the GF, another made a prelim, and the other wasted a year sitting on genuine talent.

I could go on, but it'd drive us all crazy. What's the point of the media?

Good as the AFL media were starting to feast on bullshit stories about him not being happy , wanting to come home etc.
