Damn Danny, you really are taking it all in. Do you fly or drive? How much does the weekend set you back?

So we have signed up at Ballarat another 3 years which I am ok with but I couldn’t read about the renovations they are doing due to it being behind a paywall , last time I was there the Showgrounds have been shut down and I heard it was turning into a sports complex . I am hoping it allows more parking too . A lot of room around that side of the ground that can be utilized . Is this what they are talking about ?

Not Danny, also not going next year because Qantas and their $500 flights can get stuffed .

When I went this year I flew in, caught our game and the one immediately before and then got the train back the following day. Travel and accommodation was a little over $800, the bookstores I visited cost me a fair bit too haha.

Reckon it's well worth doing at least once, the atmosphere at the games is incredible.

Looks like it's getting 5000 extra seats and an athletic running truck. Doesn't mention anything about parking but you would assume it would have to include something with all that space near bye.

Ballarat firm Morton and Co Architects have been chosen to design the new upgrade to Ballarat’s Eureka Stadium alongside Cox Architecture ahead of the Commonwealth Games…

I wasn't sure if that was still happening since the Comm games isn't going ahead here.

I haven't managed gather round. I did have tickets the first year before the prices went up, but had to cancel because a family event was arranged that I could not bypass.

With the costs I'm going for a week overseas instead for less money.

Seems like it's still going ahead. I found this article from June this year and that's well after the cancelling of the games.

The Ballarat community is invited to learn more about the exciting upgrades which are set to take place within the Ballarat Major Events Precinct as part of the Victorian Government’s Ballarat Sports Package.

Probably a good $3k for all of us. This season we drove. Was a awesome weekend

Accommodation this year is setting us back $1500 for 4 nights in a 4 star hotel. Pretty pricey, but not bad compared to some. We paid similar this year.

Haven't decided, if we are going to drive or fly this year.

                        That actually isn't too bad.

Brisbane-Geelong: Postponed, most likely until Round 3

️ Gold Coast-Essendon: Postponed, likely until 'much later in the season'.

When on earth are they going to be able to reschedule the GCS v Essendon game to - they don't share a bye?

They should switch their round 17 game scheduled for Marvel to the Gold Coast and play this weekend in Melbourne.

Being a cyclone i think the players would want to be with their families and homes rather than fly to Melbourne.

They could just play the game in the prefinals bye, not like either team will be playing the next week.
                              The curse is dead.

2 games for opening round? Hopefully this dumb concept ends.
