How many tall defenders subsequently make it as a good tall forward?

New Swans coach Dean Cox is trying out some new positional moves and good on him.

Clearly something was wrong with the Longmire Swans.

See link below, one change he is exploring is using the McCartin as a key forward. I can't see that working ? what do you think?

    Anyway, that got me thinking.

I know about tall forwards becoming good tall defenders e.g. Jones but are there many tall defenders who have subsequently become good tall forwards? (Aside from Grant)
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

Ben King was seen as the CHB whilst his brother Max the CHF, Ben has certainly played well as a forward for the Suns, Jarryd Roughead also played CHB in the under 18's for memory, Aaron Naughton another.

      He should change everything.

I mean, Sydney were like 4-games clear on top of the ladder...change EVERYTHING. 17 clubs should be cheering for this.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Players can move around and still be successful, sometimes it's just a change in a game and sometimes it's a bit more sustainable.
Sydney have a number of taller forwards -
McLean is a versatile tall forward who can have a run in the ruck.
Amartey's best is pretty good but when he's not on he's not great for them. He can also help out in the ruck.
McDonald now has a bit of experience behind him and should be their prime target going forward.

The Swan's new coach will tweak some things but he doesn't need to reinvent the whole set-up.
