Interesting article by Caroline Wilson. Mainly about Scully but she also writes about Ward and Davis.

This is her final paragraph

Yeah but the players were gonna come from somewhere?
Do you really think that GWS were gonna drive around with that semi trailer full of cash and not land anyone?

This is about individuals. They wanted Ward they got Ward.
They wanted Folau, Scully, Davis etc.

To now be expected to TAKE THE BLAME FOR BEING SCREWED is mind boggling.

Do you really think that GWS were gonna drive around with that semi trailer full of cash and not land anyone?

This is about individuals. They wanted Ward they got Ward.
They wanted Folau, Scully, Davis etc.

Of course the AFL are looking after their plastic franchises but what do you think we should do, ignore any possibility we might not be doing very well in retraining our guys?

Wow, a lot of our fans really do have an unfounded arrogance over North. We are a team who just sneaked into finishing 10th and are full of ageing and injured stars. North's list shits all over ours.

Swallow was offered the once in a lifetime, who could honestly ever knock it back, it's just GWS and AFL being evil that Callan Ward just had to sign on to.

Goldstein, Ziebell, Wells (up until last week) and Bastinac go alright.

Cooney's knee is shot, Griff is a gun who doesn't get enough support, Wood looks like a good young player and Libba a lock to be at least a good mid. Every list has something. We look down on North in the same way an ugly girl looks down on a girl they think is even uglier.

I wonder if Caro would stay at the Age If she was offered 60% more wage at the H/S, would she look deep inside her inner self and think of her journalist mates she has been with at the Age and say no I am staying, I dont think so.
