So you dont accept he has got it out of his game and will always hold it against him?
You said he needs to improve it, figures prove he has but you still fall back on previous years, looks like he has no hope getting on your right side
1 free kick a game as a ruck is pretty good IMO

How did you manage to come to that conclusion?

9 games is hardly a career, especially when they're spread out across a season. When he's tired he gives away stupid frees, he's done it for 100 games.

Still a bit unfair, 2010 he gave away 25 in 15 games.

I think Minson plays his best footy when is is aggressive as he was in the past. This lead to stupid frees but the team played better. In 2008 and 2009 he gave away 44 and 42 in 25 games and we were a premiership chance in those years.

I actually think he could dial down his aggression and focus more on the footy he would be a better player

He seems to have it in his head that he has to get in the extra bump, the extra bit of physicality, the push out etc. If he just attacked the ball, and focused more of his energy on the ball, IMO he would be far more effective. He is big enough that by being hard at the ball he is going to do some damage anyway and he doesn't need to make it a focus.

Given that he has hardly played in the ruck since Hudsons arrival and was expected to play and learn as a power forward i'm not overly surprised. His actual ruckwork is still better than any other players on our list too.

                  Some good appointments for Port.

Brad was on radio down here in Adelaide this afternoon and spoke well. Will be interesting to see how having more full time assistants in place may help Port out this year.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

No player is perfect. At times I think people forget it's a breathing human being out there, busting a gut, under pressure, trying to get the best out of themselves. Minno has a unique blend of skills and attributes. His fault is he often isn't played to his strengths. that knocking to a crumber role that many suggested Setanta play..Will can do that. In the ruckm, With huddo out, he may get more of a look in.

If anything, I feel that he got a raw deal out of Rocket and needs someone who sees him in a differently light. Rodney had a punitive attitude towards players and I hope the change helps minno breath new life into his career.

Carlton appoints Andrew McKay as head of football, replacing Steven Icke.

I wonder if there's any chance we'll announce a list manager at any point soon?

We should be talking to Steven Icke

He would be taking a big paycut and step back in duties to fill this role... Not sure that he would be all that interested TBH.

Yes, he's held a more senior position and I think he'd be want to look for something similar.
