Ive just heard the GWS theme song today. Out of the two new clubs Gold Coast and GWS Gold Coasts song is better. At the start of the GWS Song it sounds very Russian. What are your thoughts

Might be OK sung by tuneless AFL players. I get what you mean about the "Russian" sound - the rhythm is a bit like that. Sheeds says it will annoy people - I think that's right, but not for the reasons he's thinking of.

I'm willing to bet that many would argue our song isn't. It's not very exciting, fun or tuneful. It's too slow I reckon and the pauses between lines is massive ie. Soooooooons of the west...............red...white...and blue..........weeeeeeeeeee'llll coome out snarrrrr-ling....I should leave it alone but you're not rightComment
