Time for me to avoid all Adelaide media and water coolers, I shall dedicate this football season to my kids, work, uni and home renovations.

Watching St Kilda vs Carlton hope its a draw . Looks like a good match so far. Monday night footy every so often is ok.

Both teams are playing like shite.

For all their midfield talent, Carlton just aren't that good.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Agree comrade. Carlton's midfield is supposed to be one of the best in the comp. The game has been high scoring.

Agreed, they are a tin arse team that plays a style that relies on precise and quick ball movement that also needs a bit of luck. It's easy to break down. They also wilt under scoreboard pressure for mine.

I picked St. Kilda, Carlton are horrible at Etihad.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

I tipped Carlton in this one but tipping for a lot of people this weekend was bad.

Sounds familiar. Which is why I'm pleased our new coach is reinventing the way we play.

Re: Round 7 - Other Matches

Saints are giving Carlton a taste of their own medicine, with their damaging small forwards having so far kicked 10 between them.

Looks like St Kilda are going to win. There is no team who is way out front this year which makes the premiership race more interesting.

As per usual SEN's bombarded with calls on Ratten.
Can't work out why they kept Bower and got rid of Austin?
Austin looks a better type.Carlton's much vaunted small forwards go AWOL in tough games, and Stkilda roughed em' up and they went missing.
Waite is either on fire or he stinks it up, and Gibbs for mine has been a disappointment .Great eye candy in the stands Hurley, Gale and Twiggers!!
Stkilda are still swinging it seems, with an injection of some pace looked reasonably good

It took us to a big Elimination Final win against Collingwood though. We played very similar in that match to what Carlton do now.

Yes me too. He was given a different role and found a harder edge under Lyon. He is a player who always manages to find space, probably because there are so many other very good players at St. kilda that the opposition need to take care of.

I hope the two hour drive to Seaford saps their energy on a daily basis. Pah!

True , but it takes you only so far.
I see Carlton not being there at the pointy end
