    Most, biggest, surprised Premiership Team.

I was listening to Knuckles Kerley on that Mike show. They way he spoke about the Adelaide Premiership teams of the late 90's was borderline rude, but he meant well. Basically, from memory, he said no one expected those teams to win, one year Riccuito was out, the other year Modra and 'they had 5 rejects from other clubs'. But Malcolm made them believe they could win. - Personally I think they were the best ever team that nobody could ever, ever, ever beat no matter how hard they tried or how much the opposition members would have wanted.

Leaving the specific comments aside, I'm trying to think of either the underdog, David v Goliath, Cinderella story of either a the specific Grand Final or from the start of the season.

    Port in 2004 maybe?
    WCE early 90's??
Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023

    Probably Essendon in 93.
Seriously young with a lot of players who played in the 2000 flag.
Had experience including Tim Watson in comeback.
But Fletcher and Mercuri at 18
    Misiti at 19
and Wanganeen (brownlow) Hird and Calthorpe just 20.

Were way out of the prelim against Adelaide at half time but got up and trounced Carlton in the Gf.

Adelaide in dare I say it 97, and just as big as a surprise was winning it again.
