Of Course not - Melbourne/Sydney is the Big Smoke or don't you understand?

Not sure why you are asking me these questions. This thread is a fun thread not an indepth analysis of why players leave.

I watch him play (almost) weekly for East Fremantle. Average player at best now.

nah, didn't he retire? I use to see him sometimes at Whitten Oval attending matches.

True, but he didn't even last the preseason.

Tony Lockett still struggles with it now, hence nobody's seen him for years.

No way known. Polly was enormous for us. Joined us as a young, undersized ruckman in a strong era and was rarely beaten. His body took a battering as a result. I think he was out of work after the '87 stock-market crash and decided to go home.

I don't believe he played another game of senior footy after he left WO. Albeit I think he did a pre-season with West Perth after having his arm twisted.

Post retirement, I believe he's been a scout for us, attends games and is Bulldogs through and through.

Yep surely one of our best rucks over the past 30 years (and we've had some good ones!) Won the Sutton medal too I think...
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

I just remember he didn't play for long and went back home, he was a gun for us.

A couple of years ago Malthouse rated him the best ruckman he has coached.
