    Lenny Hayes Retires

Great player. Tough as nails, a great leader and a competitor. Was a very important player for the Saints during their recent successful period. Good luck to him in his retirement.

Just heard. Murdered us in that last term of that 09 prelim( as well as the crap umpiring)great player.
Is still one of their best players, which is an indictment on their recruiting .

Lenny used to sleep in the change rooms before he played us. Killed us on many occasions.

      Great player.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Lenny is one of my all time favourite opposition players. He was just one of those guys who gave his all and could be relied upon when it really mattered. Like many, I would consider Jimmy Bartel to be his successor.

Hard not to like Lenny, great player who performed consistently at a battling club.

Going to be weird playing the Saints without him there.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

            Great player.
I almost hope he tears us a new one in Round 20 just for old times sake. I did say almost

Absolute gun, and very glad to finally see the back of him in matches against us.

Lenny had that rare combination of toughness and magic. One of my favourites.
